Here are some pics of a customer's quilt that I quilted for her recently. This quilt was made by her grandmother many years ago, and is commonly called a "string" quilt, since slivers of fabric are sewn together to make blocks, which are then sewn together. It had originally been quilted by tying yarn knots spaced apart. The customer deconstructed it and brought it to me for machine quilting so that it will hold up better for the future. I really like this vintage look!
