Since I'm all caught up on customer quilting (yes, caught up!) I thought I'd go ahead and get started on quilting one of my own quilts. This is the "Friends" quilt that I showed a while back, based on William Morris themes, main pattern by Michele Hill and with my own design for the scrolling outer border. I got the top border quilted this evening and like the way it's turning out. This quilt will also have some decorator trim by Conso called French Gimp applied to it as shown in the third photo where I laid it along that solid border area just to see how it will look. I think it gives it a lot of Wow factor.   There will be three inner borders that will get this treatment, and possibly the outer edge as well.

Here are some pics of a customer's quilt that I finished quilting for her this evening. It is custom quilted and has very dense quilting, it took 13 bobbins of thread, which is probably the most I've done on a single quilt in a while. She did a beautiful, meticulous job in piecing the top which made the quilting of it goes that much easier. I always like looking at the backs of quilts, it makes the quilting really stand out where you can see the texture.

Here's a couple of photos of a quilt that I finished quilting for a customer last night. I think it turned out really nice looking. She did a beautiful job on the applique top, so it was a privilege to get to do the quilting on this one.
