Below are some photos of a customer's quilt that I finished custom quilting for her last night. This block pattern is a traditional one called "Winding Ways" that using curved piecing to create a secondary design of circles. I wanted to accentuate that secondary design by quilting concentric circles inside each circular area to help make that design element more apparent. This is tedious work since it involves using arced acrylic rulers to guide the machine as I'm quilting, so I'm holding the ruler in place with one hand while moving the machine to quilt with the other. But I think the effort was worth it and it turned out nice looking.
